Hike it Baby: A Great Experience for the Whole Family
This weekend, we joined the Hike It Baby group for their Hike It Baby Hike On event at Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary in Houston. It was fun to get out and have a nice easy hike, and the event was a good excuse to put it on our calendar and quit saying we’d do it “someday.” Someday became today and I’m so glad we went. We will be out hiking again soon!
There was a great canopy under the trees, and we were there early enough in the day that we were still comfortable even on this incredibly hot weekend. We enjoyed hiking along Rummel Creek, seeing wildlife, exploring nature, and getting some outdoor exercise as a family. Plus, hiking with the Hike It Baby group, we knew we’d be on a hike that could easily be tackled with a stroller, and our four year old hung in there just fine as well.
Hike It Baby hosts hikes throughout the week in the Katy area, and all are welcome to join, so don’t be shy. This is a free activity and a great way to get outdoors, meet other families, and get some exercise!
Check out the Hike It Baby listing for more details on currently available hikes.
